As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our organization, demonstrating a high degree of independence and judgment in handling routine engagements. You will provide guidance to staff and associate accountants, make informed decisions on accounting and auditing matters, and seek guidance from supervising seniors, managers, or partners when encountering complex situations.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning, Leading, and Executing Engagements to Provide Excellent Client Service
  • Performing a Wide Range of Audit and Accounting Procedures Impacting Industry-Specific Issues
  • Auditing Complex Areas/Transactions and Preparing Financial Statements and Related Reports
  • Researching, Analyzing, and Reporting on Accounting, Auditing, and Related Issues and Developments

Our Ideal Candidate Must Have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • At Least Three Years of Experience in Public Accounting with an Emphasis on Financial Statement Preparation, Audits, Reviews, and Compilations
  • CPA Preferred 
  • Strong Organizational Skills and Attention to Detail

The wage range for this role considers the various factors in making compensation decisions. This includes but is not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

As a Supervising Senior Accountant, you will be entrusted with overseeing and executing complex financial engagements and special projects while demonstrating a high level of independence, discretion, and judgment. Your role involves providing direction, reviewing the work of other accountants, and making informed decisions on intricate accounting, tax, and auditing matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Mentoring and Training Staff: Provide guidance, support, and constructive feedback to staff members, assist in their professional development, and ensure the quality of their work.
  • Engagement Preparation and Review: Meticulously review engagement work papers, financial statements, notes, schedules, management letters, and tax returns. Prepare these documents for later discussion and ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Budget Management: Monitor assignments to ensure they are completed within the allocated budgeted time. Collaborate in the preparation of engagement letters and any subsequent modifications, seeking approval as necessary.
  • Tax Planning: Offer valuable insights and recommendations for client tax planning, identifying opportunities for potential savings and benefits.
  • Complex Tax Return Preparation: Skillfully prepare complex tax returns, including but not limited to consolidated returns and returns for dissolution or liquidation, for various clients.
  • Client Relationship Building: Proactively develop and nurture new client contacts and relationships that contribute to the growth and success of the firm.
  • Independent Tax Return Preparation: Demonstrate proficiency in independently preparing both individual and business tax returns, including those for individuals, trusts, partnerships, and corporations.
  • Delegation: Effectively delegate tasks to staff members while maintaining accountability for the overall success of the engagement.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with the latest accounting, tax laws, and regulations, ensuring that the firm can leverage potential benefits and optimize client services.
  • Maintaining: Preserve the integrity of our engagement processes and resolving accounting and auditing challenges as they arise.

Our Ideal Candidate Must Have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • A CPA
  • Five Years of Experience in Public Accounting with a Strong Background in Tax, Audit, and Accounting Principles
  • The Proven Ability to Work Independently, Make Critical Decisions, and Manage Complex Engagements
  • Exceptional Leadership and Communication Skills
  • Proficiency in Tax and Accounting Software
  • The Dedication to Maintaining the Highest Ethical and Professional Standards
